Ukraine has created a military commandant’s office in the Kursk region. It is headed by Major General Eduard Moskalyov.

This became known from the statement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

According to him, the search and destruction of the enemy in the village of Sudzha and three other villages in the Kursk region was completed.

"To maintain law and order and meet the primary needs of the population in the controlled territories, a military commandant’s office was created. Major General Moskalyov was appointed its head," Syrskyi said.

He noted that since the beginning of the operation in the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops have advanced 35 kilometers into the enemy’s defences. 1,150 square kilometers and 82 populated areas have been taken under control. The situation there is under control.
