In Kharkiv, a paratrooper from the 82nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was detained for treason

A soldier from the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade was detained in Kharkiv on suspicion of treason.

This became known in criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code.

The man served in the brigade since May 2024. Already in mid-August, he established a connection on Telegram with a representative of the aggressor country. The soldier offered to collect and transmit information about the presence and movement of servicemen of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in exchange for creating and ensuring conditions for unimpeded border crossing in the direction of the Russian Federation through the line of combat contact, to which the said representative of the foreign state agreed.

The traitor sent the enemy information about the presence of military personnel in specific places in Kharkiv at specific coordinates for several days. For now, he is under suspicion and is in pretrial detention.
