"According to the data from the regional military administration, the number of shellings carried out by Russia on residential and critical infrastructure, particularly on energy facilities in the Sumy region, has significantly increased compared to last year. Specifically, over 12,500 enemy strikes have been recorded in Sumy since the beginning of the year, while in 2023 the number was 8,000," the statement notes.

It is indicated that the Russian army continues to use powerful means of firepower – aerial bombs, missiles, drones. Therefore, evacuation, including forced evacuation, is ongoing in the region, with children being taken out of dangerous territories. Currently, the issue of expanding the list of these territories is being considered.
