In the early days of the war, Volodymyr Zelenskyy hid in a bunker, and Western leaders found it difficult to contact him.

Former NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg spoke about this in an interview with the Financial Times.

"When Zelenskyy was hiding in bunkers from the Russian invasion and avoiding Russian assassins, Stoltenberg was unable to talk to him for two days. When they finally got in touch, "the conversation was quite difficult," the article says, citing the former secretary general.

During the conversation, Zelenskyy demanded that a no-fly zone be established over Ukraine.

"The main part of the discussion was about the no-fly zone. He wanted a no-fly zone. But I could not give him a no-fly zone," Stoltenberg said.
