There are fierce battles in Avdiivka, maneuvers are being carried out in threatening directions, - Tarnavskyi

The officer spoke about the situation in Avdiivka as of Thursday, February 15, at eleven o’clock in the evening, and noted that it was “complex, but controllable.”

“Fierce fighting is taking place within the city. Our troops are using all available forces and means to contain the enemy,” says Tarnavskyi.

He drew attention to the fact that, in accordance with the decision taken, a planned reinforcement of units is taking place and maneuvers are being carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in threatening directions.

"In addition, an additional resource of ammunition and other munitions has been allocated," said the commander of the "Tavria" OSGT.

According to Tarnavskyi, new positions have been prepared and “powerful fortifications taking into account all possible scenarios” continue to be prepared.

“Commanders on the ground know their task and carry it out in accordance with the plan of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to stabilize the situation in this direction. Troop control is stable and effective,” his message says.

The officer also emphasized that the Defense Forces value every piece of Ukrainian land, but “the highest value and priority for us is preserving the life of a Ukrainian soldier.”

“The Avdiivka defense operation continues. Our soldiers continue to destroy the occupying army and grind up the resources and reserves of the enemy, which he, without sparing, throws into battle,” Tarnavskyi said.
