The situation in Vuhledar is extremely difficult, reports military officer Stanislav Bunyatov on his Telegram channel. He quotes a message from a soldier of the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, who is participating in the combat operations in this direction.

According to the soldier, the assault is coming from three directions: Vodyane, Prechystivka, Pavlivka. The Russians have penetrated the south and west of the city, where fierce fighting is ongoing. The pedestrian route is well targeted by mortars and artillery; the enemy is deploying numerous drones and controlling the entire path.

When groups of 10 people leave the city, only 4-6 reach their destination alive.

"The command has been promising a rotation for a week, but constantly postpones it due to external circumstances and tells us to hold on. There is absolutely no evacuation because the BMPs don’t even make it to Vuhledar — they are immediately fired upon. There are many wounded, and it is impossible to carry them out on stretchers under drone attacks. There are also many dead lying along the roads," says the post.

The soldiers are running out of food and ammunition. The only option is to gradually leave the positions and withdraw those who can fight through.
