Russians will not be able to capture Pokrovsk due to a lack of resources, - Sazonov

This is the opinion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter, journalist and expert Kyrylo Sazonov.  

He stated: "When I see headlines saying ’After Pokrovsk, the enemy will go to Zaporizhzhya and Dnipro,’ I want to reassure Ukrainians and say that no one is going anywhere. Everything you’re told about what will happen after Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad is just fantasy and nonsense."

The volunteer from the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared his opinion on the prospects of the enemy’s advancement in the Donetsk direction: "The Russians are not capable of taking Pokrovsk. The losses in Vuhledar and during the assault on Selydove are so significant that there are simply not enough forces for a real assault on Pokrovsk. Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad form a very large agglomeration. It’s an industrial zone and a residential area. Theoretically, they can take Pokrovsk only if they surround it, as was the case with Vuhledar. Taking it head-on is impossible. This is not Avdiivka, not Bakhmut, not Soledar, not Vuhledar. It is a big city that will require desperate fighting. Even if they take it, the losses would be so great that any further movement would become impossible," assured Kyrylo Sazonov.
