Zelenskyy approved the decision of the National Security and Defence Council on the creation of Unmanned Systems Forces

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the decision of the National Security and Defence Council to establish the Unmanned Systems Forces within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The corresponding decree was published on the OPU website.

The approved decision of the National Security and Defence Council states that the Unmanned Systems Forces were decided to be created, “taking into account the experience of the long-term large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, with the aim of increasing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the use of unmanned and robotic air, sea and ground systems, ensuring their readiness for use.”

The Cabinet of Ministers must submit to the Verkhovna Rada a proposal to create unmanned systems forces within the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
