Yermak Reveals What Trump Said to Zelenskyy

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak expressed his opinion on the possible impact of Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election on Ukraine . The head of the Office of the President stressed that this does not pose a threat to continued support for Ukraine.

He said this in an interview.

According to him, the telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the "good relations" and respect of the American billionaire for Ukraine and its authorities. Yermak also reported that during the conversation, Trump showed keen interest and listened attentively to information about the situation in Ukraine.

Yermak confirmed that Trump had indeed told Zelenskyy to ignore rumors about his alleged readiness to give in to Putin to the detriment of Ukraine’s interests in order to end the fighting as quickly as possible.

"Yes, he said that. That we shouldn’t pay attention to the "fake news" that appears about this. That he clearly understands what kind of war this is, and that America supported and will support Ukraine. And this is very important," the head of the OP said.

In response to a comment about the pro-Russian rhetoric of Trump’s vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance, Yermak noted that it is necessary to work on changing this position. He also noted that recently even J.D. Vance’s rhetoric has begun to change.

Yermak added that he does not believe in the possibility of a US president emerging who would not understand the threat from Russia and would be against supporting Ukraine.

"There have already been historic changes between the United States and Ukraine. We have become partners, indeed, we have very strong allied relations. And I do not believe that any future president of the United States will have a different attitude," Yermak said.

When asked about the possibility of Trump visiting Ukraine during the election campaign, Yermak noted that Trump "has an invitation," but is not sure whether he will take advantage of it, adding that it would be difficult to organize such a visit. At the same time, according to the head of the OP, it is more likely that the winning candidate in the election - Trump or another - will visit Ukraine before the inauguration.
