Air defence over Mykolaiv region at night: shrapnel from ’Shahed’ damaged residential buildings

On the night of August 25, Russian occupation forces launched a kamikaze drone attack on the Mykolaiv region. The enemy strikes were prevented, but UAV debris damaged residential buildings.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration announced.

"Eight Shahed 131/136 UAVs were shot down by air defence forces and assets," the department noted.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy launched nine "shahids" at Ukraine last night, and the occupiers also attacked frontline regions with missiles.

In the Mykolaiv region, debris from drones destroyed in the sky fell in the Mykolaiv district. Damage to about 15 residential buildings and utility buildings was recorded there.

In addition, a dry grass fire broke out, which firefighters quickly extinguished. There were no casualties as a result of this Russian attack.
