Enemy launched nearly 60 air targets at Ukraine at night – Air Forces

On the night of September 2, the enemy launched 35 missiles of various types and 23 attack UAVs at the territory of Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about 16 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, 14 X-101 cruise missiles, 4 S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, one missile of an unspecified type and 23 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.

The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

It is specified that the occupiers launched a missile strike on the Kyiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, and also attacked with Shahed-type strike UAVs from the southern direction.

It is noted that ballistic missiles were launched from the Bryansk, Voronezh and Kursk regions, cruise missiles were launched from Tu-95MS aircraft from the airspace of the Volgograd region, anti-aircraft missiles and one of an unspecified type were launched from the Belgorod region, and drones were launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces shot down:

• 9 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
• 13 X-101 cruise missiles;
• 20 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs.

In addition, as a result of active counteraction by the Ukrainian Defence Forces, one X-101 cruise missile and three attack UAVs did not reach their targets and were lost in location. Information is being clarified.

According to the command, combat operations took place in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Mykoaliv and Zaporizhzhya regions.
