The General Staff has decided to withdraw troops from Novoрrodivka
Novohrodivka in the Pokrovsk direction was in an unfavorable geographical position, so the General Staff decided to withdraw troops.
This was reported by the officer of the 59th separate mechanized brigade, Serhiy Tsekhotskyi, commenting on the loss of the city, which once had 14 thousand residents, in just a few days.
"A decision was made to withdraw the troops. The reasons for this should be explained to the General Staff. To save lives. We could have delayed the offensive for 2-3 days, but in the end we would have lost a certain number of our comrades. I believe that from a geographical point of view, Novohrodivka is not in a very good position. As a fortress, it was not fully prepared," says Tsekhotskyi.
He did not discuss whether the city had fortifications prepared for defence, and said that the loss of Novohrodivka was "not the final point in this battle."
