Dmytruk’s escape abroad: court arrests one of the organisers of the scheme

The Odesa City Court has decided to arrest one of the organizers of the escape of People’s Deputy Artem Dmytruk to Moldova. He has the opportunity to pay bail in the amount of 5 million hryvnia.

The State Bureau of Investigation reports this.

"The Kyiv District Court of Odesa has chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of two months for one of the participants in the organization of the illegal transfer of a people’s deputy across the state border," the statement says.

The suspect has the opportunity to post bail in the amount of 5 million hryvnia.

Two people, including the organizer, fled outside Ukraine, one was detained. The latter controlled the situation and informed his accomplices about the presence of patrols near the border crossing point where the escape took place.

The sentence under the relevant article provides for a punishment of up to 7 years of imprisonment.
