Situation on the front: Ukrainian Defence Forces are holding back the advance of Russian occupiers

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are actively holding back the advance of the Russian occupiers, who continue to launch missile, air and artillery strikes on Ukrainian settlements. A sharp increase in the number of combat clashes has been noted, reaching 107 in the last 24 hours.

The most difficult situation is observed in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions.

This is reported in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Today, Russian troops carried out numerous air strikes and artillery shelling on the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Five air strikes were recorded, using 11 guided bombs, as well as numerous artillery shellings, which caused damage to populated areas.

In particular, the areas around the settlements came under enemy fire: Sumy, Tokari, Nova Sloboda, Yampil and Yunakivka. The towns of Sydorivka, Novovasylivka, Slavhorod, Popivka, Vysoke, Pokrovka, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Zarichchya, Dmytrivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda and Chuykivka came under artillery fire.

In the Kharkiv sector, one firefight took place near Vovchansk and is ongoing.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops attempted to storm our positions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka and other localities 14 times.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked the areas of Druzhelyubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka and others, 11 combat engagements were registered since the beginning of the day.

The enemy continues to make active attempts to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops in the Siverskyi sector, but is being firmly repulsed by our defenders. Near Ivan-Daryivka, the enemy tried to push our units back once.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops tried to dislodge our units once during the first part of the day and also fired unguided aerial missiles at Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attacked our positions eight times with the support of attack and bomber aircraft, and fighting continues near New York.

In the Pokrovsk sector, fierce fighting is taking place in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zelenyi Pole and others. The enemy made 31 assaults on our positions, with attacks continuing in eight locations. Enemy aircraft also struck near the towns of Oleksandropil and Selydove, using UAVs and unguided aerial missiles.

In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy attacked our units 32 times, trying to advance near Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka.

In the Vremivsk sector, two enemy assaults were repelled in the direction of Vodiane and Kostiantynivka.

In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy tried to advance once near Robotyne, but was fiercely repulsed.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, five enemy attacks were repelled, but the enemy did not succeed.
