The State Bureau of Investigation has opened a criminal case in connection with the missile strike on an educational institution in Poltava. The investigation must determine the reasons that led to such a mass death of military personnel and civilians.

However, it is too early to draw conclusions, because contradictory data is coming in. People’s Deputy, member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence Fedir Venislavskyi told about this in the OBOZ.TALK studio.

According to him, the State Bureau of Investigation and other relevant bodies will determine the reasons that led to a large number of victims and injured as a result of the Russian missile strike on Poltava. Venislavskyi emphasized that there are many factors in this matter, so it is difficult to analyze anything now.

"The information coming in is quite contradictory, especially for us, members of the Committee, from the leadership of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding why exactly such a number of servicemen were in the classrooms, whether they lined up at other events, etc.," Venislavskyi noted.

The people’s deputy added that the State Bureau of Investigation will determine whether all regulatory documents governing behavior with military personnel during the alleged missile strike were followed.

"But again, it is worth understanding that Poltava is much closer to the borders with the Russian Federation, and even sometimes after the air raid alarm only a few seconds to a minute pass before a strike is carried out. That is, there may be both objective and sub-objective factors, but we will establish them, and I believe that society will be informed of the results of our meeting," Venislavskyi said.
