President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the difficult situation for Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction of the front in the Donetsk region. The head of state emphasized that the main task of the Defense Forces in this area is to knock out as many forces of the Russian army as possible.

The president said this during his address to Ukrainians and the world community at the end of the 925th day of the war, on Thursday, September 5. Zelenskyy assured that Ukraine is "increasing its strength" in the Pokrovsk direction.

"Today, Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi gave a report. Especially regarding the Pokrovsk direction. We are adding our forces, and the key task is to knock out more of the occupier’s forces," he noted.

The head of state also commented on the operation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the Kursk region of the aggressor state of Russia.

"We maintain certain boundaries and every day during the Kursk operation we prove to the world that Russia can lose this war. And the only thing that is needed for this is our sufficient determination, the determination of everyone in the world on whom the situation in the world depends. It is not for Moscow to determine the future of our people. And it should always be like this," Zelenskyy added.
