Blinken and British Foreign Secretary arrived in Ukraine

During his visit to Kyiv, Blinken plans to get acquainted with the situation on the front line and discuss with Ukrainian partners the country’s needs in the coming weeks and months in connection with the approaching winter, White House adviser John Kirby said the day before during an online briefing.

According to him, the head of American diplomacy "will confirm US support for Ukraine’s efforts aimed at its defense and recapturing the territory seized by Russia."

Kirby also noted that a discussion will take place in Kyiv about advancing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace proposals.

"Of course, ending (the war, - Ed.) through negotiations is the most likely outcome in this situation. However, when this happens, as well as under what conditions and circumstances - will be decided by President Zelenskyy," Kirby added.

Blinken and Lemmy are also expected to meet with senior Ukrainian government officials.
