The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft of the state budget for 2025

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the evening of Friday, September 13, approved the final draft of the state budget-2025.

This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.

According to him, expected revenues will amount to 2 trillion UAH, and expenditures 3.6 trillion UAH.

The main priorities remain defense and security - more than 2.22 trillion UAH will be allocated for these needs. The funds will be used, among other things, for the financing of weapons, equipment, and drones.

«The second priority is the financing of protected budget items. More than 400 billion UAH will be directed to social protection. Pensions will be indexed, and subsidies will be provided to everyone in need. 211 billion UAH will be allocated for healthcare and nearly 170 billion UAH for education», noted Shmyhal.

The third key area of the budget covers support for regions and entrepreneurs. Thus, local budgets will receive grants and subventions, and moreover, preferential loans for businesses and grants for entrepreneurs are envisaged.

In addition, the government will continue the demining program of mined territories, as well as the еOselya initiative.

«A new feature of this budget will be the introduction of a new public investment project management model, which will make capital expenditures more transparent and efficient. In particular, the priority will be reconstruction, energy projects, and the implementation of a new veteran policy», added the Prime Minister.
