The government has approved the draft state budget for 2025
In 2025, revenues are expected to be at the level of 2 trillion, and budget expenditures are planned at the level of 3.6 trillion.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal informs about this.
Shmyhal noted that the main priority of this budget is the defence and security of Ukraine.
"All internal resources will again be directed towards these goals. Defence spending will increase to at least 2.22 trillion. We will allocate more funds for Ukrainian weapons, equipment, and drones," said the Prime Minister.
According to him, the second priority is funding protected budget items.
"More than 400 billion will be allocated for social protection. Pensions will be indexed, and subsidies will be provided to all who need them. 211 billion will go to healthcare and almost 170 billion to education," Shmyhal noted.
He also added that the third priority is the support of regions and businesses. Assistance to local budgets through grants and subventions will continue. Funds are allocated for preferential loan programs and grants for entrepreneurs. The humanitarian demining program and the "eOselya" program will also continue.
It is noted that a novelty of this budget will be the introduction of a new model of managing public investment projects, which will ensure greater transparency and efficiency of capital expenditures. In particular, the priorities will be restoration, energy projects, and the implementation of a new policy for veterans.
The main financial document of the country for 2025 is aimed at ensuring that Ukraine stands firm and wins. Thank you to everyone who is fighting for this.
