The Murder of Iryna Farion: the suspect stated that he is "in danger"

The suspect in the murder of Farion, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, stated that he is "under threat from Russian intelligence services" and "radically-minded individuals."

"I do not want to take my own life under any circumstances. If something happens to me, it means I was ’helped.’ I am asking the court to extend my preventive measure," Vyacheslav Zinchenko stated at the court hearing regarding the extension of his arrest.

Recall that the man received public threats from Farion’s daughter, who said that he would ’die’ in prison. After that, she expressed dissatisfaction with Zinchenko not attending court hearings in person, participating instead in online mode.

As a result, the court extended the preventive measure for Zinchenko and also prolonged the pre-trial investigation period until January 26. The prosecution reported that all circumstances of the criminal case could not be established within two months; an additional 51 examinations have been appointed.
