Russian troops attempted to cross a river in the Kursk region. However, Ukrainian fighters hindered the occupiers, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Pentagon 225th Separate Assault Battalion.

As reported, the enemy’s advance began at night, in difficult weather conditions during a heavy snowfall. Russian troops deployed a pontoon bridge across the river to ensure the passage of heavy equipment closer to the positions of Ukrainian fighters.

"Our scouts detected the movement of the enemy in time, even at the stage of preparation for the crossing. Based on the received data, the command promptly engaged FPV drones to target the enemy’s equipment," the unit stated.

The first precise strike on the lead vehicle halted the movement of the column, forcing the rest of the equipment to maneuver. A subsequent strike on the trailing vehicle blocked the retreat routes, significantly complicating the situation for the enemy.

As noted by Ukrainian fighters, the coordinated actions of all units effectively halted the Russian attack. As a result, the enemy suffered significant equipment losses, causing serious material damage.
