The court suspended the mayor of Netishyn from performing his duties
The mayor of Netishyn (Khmelnytskyi region), Oleksandr Suprunyuk, was suspended from his position on December 16. This is related to a suspicion of official negligence.
The court left the preventive measure unchanged – nighttime house arrest. This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office on the official website.
The prosecutor of the Shepetivka District Prosecutor’s Office filed an appeal against the previous court decision since his request (for 24-hour house arrest and removal from office) was only partially satisfied by the court of first instance. At that time, the mayor was only given nighttime house arrest instead of 24-hour house arrest.
As a result of the appellate review, the mayor was removed. However, the court did not strengthen the preventive measure for Suprunyuk.
