Russian saboteurs are disguising themselves in the uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction to get closer to the positions of Ukrainian defenders. This was reported by Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the "Achilles" battalion of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Ivan Sirko, during a telethon broadcast, reported.

"Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups under the "Masquerade" program dress in Ukrainian uniforms and try to penetrate our combat formations. The Defence Forces detect and destroy most of such groups," Fedorenko stated.

He noted that Ukrainian servicemen work clearly and efficiently, which significantly affects the level of defence capability.

"There are cases when the enemy believes they are acting in the interests of Russian occupation forces, but in reality, it is in the interests of the Defence Forces. They just haven’t realized it yet," Fedorenko explained.

He also mentioned that in the area of responsibility of his brigade in the Kharkiv region, the Russians are concentrating "an incredible amount of forces and means" in the Kupyansk direction, which allowed the adversaries to enter Kruglyakivka.

In particular, in the last two and a half weeks, the adversary has used 100 units of armored and light-armored vehicles in this operation, 90 of which have been destroyed.

"Their goal is to reach the left-bank Kupyansk and Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi by New Year, to continue the set task until November 1, but I am sure the enemy will not succeed," Fedorenko emphasized.

Additionally, the military noted that the Defence Forces conducted several important operations in the Hlyboke area, which allowed them to drive the Russians out of previously fortified positions where they had secured themselves before.
